I thought about working efficiently many times. I think that I have to work in a systematic way. But when I come to work I don’t follow the rules that I set for myself. For the past two days I am working on a new installation of software. I did the installation before too. But I am facing problems now and had to do the installation twice to get it work.
So, I thought again. I should have got a check list for the installation. I should have followed the steps and not just click set-up to install it. I did not do it. It should have been easier if I have got this done in a systematic way. I wonder whether many people work like me. If they do, its a waste of lot of valuable time. Many people think that working in a systematic way means following a lot of documents and doing a ritual. It’s not so. It’s just to know what to do and what is the best way to do that. If I have to go to a place, its better to know how I can go before starting than get lost in the way and go round and round to reach the place. Its simple. But we don’t do it many times. Life gets easier and simpler with arranging things and planning and we can avoid many frustrating moments.
Hope, I will follow this simple thing to make life easier.
